was born to the late Morris and Helen Gross (nee Goldstein) in Santa Monica, California. He graduated from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles.
He was married to his wife Leticia Gross (nee Gonzaga) for 44 years. They have two children, Alan Gross (wife Lucy) and Andrea Gross-Banks (husband David). He enjoyed his role as a Grandfather to Levi, Nathan, Stan Jr., Vincent (Vinny) and Brianna.
Stan was a Correctional Officer with the State of California for over 20 years before his retirement. He served as the local chapter union president.
He was a strong follower of Christ and volunteered for many years in the St. Luke Catholic Church’s RCIA program.
Stan was an avid movie collector of films both past and present. Among his favorites included the classics of John Wayne as well as the James Bond series.
He had a soft spot for his three dogs, Blondie, Titan, and Athena.
Stan was a tender hearted and loving man. His family and friends know that he was quite persistent in convincing others to take care of themselves. Everything he did was motivated by love and concern for others.
Stanley Robert Gross, age 68, of Covina, California passed away on Sunday January 13, 2019. Stanley was born March 28, 1950.
A memorial service for Stanley will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St Luke's Catholic Church, 5605 Cloverly Ave, Temple City, CA 91780. A reception will occur Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 5605 Cloverly Ave, Temple City, CA 91780. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740.
