Denny was a great brother-in-law and friend, he will be sorely missed. Denny had a kind heart and always made time for others. Denny has been a part of my life for the past 47 years.
Denny used to give me rides back in the day, I remember he took my friends and me all the way to Ledges State park to camp in the back woods when I was around 14 and he came back to pick us up a couple days later in his Toyota Corolla with a big smile on his face.
When I bought my first home in Kansas City, Denny came down to help me remodel the kitchen and set cabinets and counters - he was a life saver that weekend. I remember riding back to Des Moines with him listening to Credence Clearwater Revival all the way.
Denny hired me to help him one summer with his remodeling business when he was partnered with Hal. He came back from lunch on day and handed me a brand new wood American four foot level - which I cherish and use to this day.
Our hearts are broken for the Knudsen family, we will miss Denny very much.
