It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jane Mae Doris (née Groome). Loving wife to the late Ronald. Proud mother to Mary Ellen and Kelley (Andre). Adoring grandmother to Annette and Kerri. Sister to Michael (Eileen), predeceased by her twin brother Harry (Joanne), and brother Jimmi. Jane will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
Despite living a life with its fair share of hardships, Jane had an almost magical ability to find joy in even the smallest moments. A glass of champagne with her favourite show, a new bud on the rosebush in the backyard, the dimple on a new baby’s cheek. Her laugh was infectious. She was kind and welcoming to everyone she met - a steadfast friend; a devoted daughter, sister, auntie, cousin and grandmother; and a fiercely proud mother. But what she loved most of all was being surrounded by her loved ones.
So we invite family and friends to gather in celebration of Jane at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 4115 Lawrence Ave. E., West Hill, on Monday, July 10 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Mass will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church on Tuesday, July 11 at 10:00 am.
