Kathleen Teresa Yorke
February 27, 1930 – February 20, 2021
Kathleen (Kaye) Yorke (nee Batten) Feb 27 , 1930 - Feb 20, 2021 We are saddened to announce the passing of the earth angel we knew as our Mom. Kathleen (Kaye) has joined her beloved husband Nick in heaven.Surely, together, they are helping Saint Peter at the Pearly Gates welcoming everyone in, as their door was always open for so many others to call home. Our house was always joyfully filled with family and friends, whether for dinner, a party or just a get together. Laughter, song and cards were always happening. This was the happy busy world her kids were raised in. Kathleen comes from a family of 13 children raised by her father Isaac and mother Catherine in New Aberdeen, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia and survived by her 2 brothers Naish and Phillip. Kathleen came to Ontario in her late teens, married Nick and is survived by her children Wayne (Carol), Kathy (Bob), Diane (Brian), Steve (Gill), Nick (Debbie) and predeceased by her daughter Jennifer (Kevin). Loving Grandma to 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and awesome aunt, second mom and friend to many… Thank you to all the wonderful staff at The Houses of Providence for helping us care for our Mom for over 7 years, you truly kept her happy and healthy until the end. There will not be a service at this time. We will hold a celebration of life at a later time. Please direct well wishes, memories and or a photo you wish to share to the link below: www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/10068220. Your condolences and prayers are most welcomed, appreciated and loved. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Alzheimer’s Society at alzheimer.ca or Diabetes Canada at diabetes.ca or Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence

A special lady who tastefully could make any situation more pleasant, Aunt Kaye we will miss your signature smile, a smile that brightened our days. Thank you for your distinguished family commitment as the Upper Canada manageress for all the scions of those 1 Water Street venturesome Cossacks. The junkets with Nick and “nippers” to CB in the full and crowded 1972 brown Impala made for special summers. Love & prayers , Rest In Peace.
