Mery was my first cousin. Although we didn't see each other frequently we were still close. Our time together goes back to when were very young. The last time we spoke it was this summer after I had sent her flowers, which she loved, and our conversation lasted for more than a delightful hour! We planned to see each other on her birthday this month. I'm so sorry that that was not to be, but she will always be in my heart. I will love you always Mery.

I had the opportunity to meet with Mery at a few family occasions but those brief times made a deep impression on me as to the genuine warmth and friendliness of her character and personality. And then later we kept in touch a little over Facebook and I was impressed again at how that she projected those qualities on line and very importantly, didn't seem to be too fazed by the epic health battle she was facing. She was then and will always remain in my memory as one of the most inspiring people I have had the pleasure to personally know. God bless her!

Mery logró dejar una huella imborrable en el corazón de quienes tuvimos la bendición de contar con su amistad, así fuese en la distancia. Dios de fortaleza y consuelo a su esposo y familia.

Mery showed everyone she loved how to live. Dispite being diagnosed in 2008 with a serious illness Mery took on her adversity with grace and charherter. Anytime you asked Mery how she was her answer was the same “I am great” with a smile as bright as the sun and an energy that was nothing short of admirable she meant it everytime she told you that and she backed it with her actions. Seeing Mery live her life made often made those simple life troubles be just that, simple. Mery and Tommy did everything they always had fun. Mery loved big gatherings and family fun, she made every event with ease and she always looked great regardless how much treatment she was facing in her life. That smile never waviering. Everyone that knew Mery saw her courage and her zest for life and it was a lesson we were all blessed to have expirneced. Mery will always be in all our lives as a beautiful reminder of how to appreciate and live life and how to take life’s adversity with a smile and fight. Thank you Mery we will always love you and miss you.

NUNCA se olvida a una persona Que se quiere y se pierde simplemente se aprende a vivir sin ella

Nunca se llena el vacio que deja simplemente se hace un poco menor
