Dorothy Louise Logsdon passed away on the evening of July 14, 2018. She was born in Bradenton Florida on October 31, 1942 to parents Matthew Wilson Waters and Nora Lee Green. She has been married to Richard Wayne Logsdon of West Palm Beach for 56 years who loved her dearly, and is survived by three children: Laura Lee Jarriel (Greg), Sarah Louise Jarriel (Tim), and Richard Matthew Logsdon. She has eight grandchildren whom she adored: Matthew, Jason, Katie, Clay, Will, Ian, Ty and Mia, and three great grandchildren who she was delighted with, Lily, Ellie, and Dawson. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother John Waters, and is survived by her brother Robert Waters.
Dorothy devoted her life to her husband and family. She was a fun and adventurous grandmother, who enjoyed a wide variety of activities and interests.
She and Richard divided their time between their cabin in the mountains of North Carolina and their home in West Palm Beach. Together they loved to travel and enjoyed many years in their motor home. They shared a love for literature and music and enjoyed nothing more than the beauty to be found in nature. She was a gifted gardener, with a true green thumb. She had a creative bent that was expressed in many ways including sewing, and jewelry making, all of which was made for someone she loved.
She had a true servants heart and was generous and kind to others, always setting an example for us on how to treat people. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Dorothy will be laid to rest at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
