He graduated from Montclair State Teachers College and did post graduate work at LSU and Stanford before graduating from the University of Minnesota Dental School, where he met his wife, Norma. After retiring he volunteered regularly at Daughters of Israel in West Orange and was an active volunteer for Hospice By The Sea in Boca Raton until the last year of his life.

The family would like to thank our special angel, Marjorie Meikle. Also Annmarie Hudson, Marie Thompson and Desreen Meikle for their wonderful love, care and companionship in their time with Jerry. Thanks to Sue Kaufman for being such a wonderful friend and neighbor.

Jerry’s remarkable health to the end can be traced to frequent naps, two vodka’s with lime before dinner and an active social life.

Dr. Bronfman was one of the finest men I ever knew. He treated both myself and my parents and became a friend to us all. I would see him often around town in West Orange and it was always a pleasure to meet with him. In reading his obituary, I can see why he was such an amazing man. And a very fine dentist as well. I will miss him so much but remember him always. And my condolences to my former high school classmates, Richard & Rorbert and all of the Bronfman family. Don Faruolo.
