John Fred Inganamort, a longtime resident of Boca Raton, Florida and Gladstone, New Jersey, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday the 19th of November, 2020. He was a loving and devoted husband, beloved father and grandfather, gentleman, and commensurate professional.

A graduate of New York Military Academy, he began his career in real estate development after a tour of duty in the United States Army. He often exclaimed with pride how this institution instilled the skills and discipline in him to successfully undertake a distinguished career in both business and politics. Renowned for his integrity and mental toughness, he earned commendation from business associates and political adversaries alike throughout the course of his career. He had an uncanny ability to find common ground with people and this particular talent was a catalyst to his natural affinity for public service. He worked tirelessly over the course of an esteemed career to provide people with the most fundamental attribute of the American Dream – housing. Every community he touched was a better place thereafter and his efforts were paramount their economic vitality and growth. He eventually rose to become Bergen County New Jersey’s Republican Party Chairman and pioneered Bergen County’s political significance on the national stage.

In his free time, he enjoyed the thrill and pursuit of saltwater fishing and chased his quarry all over the world. He was also an instrument-rated pilot and enjoyed spending his summers in Hampton Bays, New York. He is survived by his cherished wife of 68 years Joan Inganamort, his sister Romana Arnold, his three children Linda, John Joseph, and Lisa Inganamort, his six grandchildren Alexandra Treires, Jenna and John Tyler Inganamort, Donald, Reilly, and Shaelynn Nuckel, and his grandson-in-law John Treires. He is predeceased by his parents Romana and Fred Inganamort, his brothers Frank and Michael Inganamort, and his first cousin and best friend whom he adored, John J. Brunetti. He will be missed immensely by all those who were fortunate enough to have known him and his legacy is eternal, living on through the love of his family and friends.

Mr. Inganamort was one of the smartest, kindest, loving, caring and generous people I was blessed to know. He never failed to enjoy one of my jokes. A long time friend who touched me in many ways. He was a busy man always challenging his mind and he was a success at his endeavors and enjoyed making a deal. I was lucky to be a part of his family wife Joan , daughters Linda and Lisa and son John. He was a great father and he will be missed by all. May he rest in peace and continue on his beautiful journey where he is free to fly into the arms of his loved ones in heaven .
l believe he will be watching over his beloved family and cherished friends. God Bless you John, may the peace of the Lord be with you always.
