Monte and I had known each other since the early 1950's. We had spent most of our time in the early years, hunting, fishing, swimming (skinny dipping), camping, playing football, playing poker with pennies and nickels at the Preston home and just having clean innocent fun with the two of us and some other good friends. One night at Preston's I had a straight flush in clubs, and it was the only straight flush I have ever had in my life and I'm now 80 years old. Monte ran the projector at the King Theater and some of us saw a lot of free movies. His wife Donna was also in our class and we all had a lot of good clean fun. Monte and Donna are both missed by all of us who grew up with them. They were both true friends for many years. The Prestons were all good people. Sincerely, Jack (Andy) Eirp, Class of 1958 at Belle Plaine, Iowa High School. Thank You and Best Wishes to their family.
