Born in Sepino, Province of Campobasso, Italy on November 1, 1947, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Lucia Peluso. He immigrated to the United States with his family in 1966, settling first in Hartford, later moving to West Hartford. Carmine retired from Eversource after 45 years of dedicated service. He loved working at Eversource and made many friends there. He met and married his wife in 1977; it was love at first sight. Carmine and Neky would travel regularly to Argentina, visiting Neky’s mother, Elena her sister, Elena Irma and her brother, Roberto. They ultimately settled together in Cromwell, where he could often be found in the garden tending his homegrown vegetables and flowers, especially his prized roses. Carmine had a very special relationship with his niece and nephews and he loved his “four-legged babies”. He will be dearly missed by his little rat-terrier, “Teddy”.
He will be forever missed by his wife of 45 years, Neky; more than words could ever say. He is also survived by his five siblings, Michele and his wife Rosa of West Hartford, Luigi and his wife Assunta of Italy, Antonia Iafrancesco and her husband Natalino of Newington, Albert and his wife Lisa of Southington and Angelo and his companion Donna of West Hartford as well as eleven nieces and nephews, George, Fabian, John, Robert, Angela, Albert, Jr., Pietro, Sandra, Marcela, Lautaro and Bruno. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Domenica Iafrancesco and his wife’s parents, Francesco Iris Puglia and Eralia Elena Codutti Puglia.
Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Carmine will be entombed at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Arrangements have been entrusted to the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Carmine’s memory can be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd., Newington, CT 06111.
