My wife and I send condolences to the Streeto family. For many years, Jim and I were colleagues at Hartford Hospital. A newcomer to Hartford in 1970 , Jim was kind to me and welcoming. He was a thoughtful warm hearted practitioner of medicine and a poet, in addition.

So saddened by Jim's passing. He was my instructor when training at Hartford Hospital. All admired his physical exam and expertise. He was a devoted husband and a wonderful poet. He shared his poems with me. God Bless Dr. James Streeto. Dr. Tony LaSala.

I just wanted to express my condolences to you. My mother was a long time nurse at Hartford Hospital and patient of your father’s. I remember her saying what a thoughtful, caring and knowledgeable person and doctor he was. I witnessed that when I accompanied my mom to her appointments later in her life and wanted to let you know how much that meant to her and to my brother and I.

Dear Family,

I so enjoyed having Jim as a neighbor. We recently started having some nice outdoor conversations as the weather improved.
He was a gentle and caring person and so loved telling me about his and Dottie's courtship. They had a special love.

He recently let me read his book of poems dedicated to Dottie and also gave me his book of poems that I so enjoyed reading.
A lovely gentleman. Do remember the happy times that you had as a family.

Sincere condolences to the Streeto family. Dr. Streeto was such a fine physician and an even finer person. He was one of the most universally respected physicians at Hartford Hospital. I valued the opportunities to work with him from 1979 to 2008.

I remember Jim fondly from my time at Hartford Hospital 1978-81
He was a great teacher, but a fabulous foodie.
I still have his Chili recipe written on his prescription pad. Think of him every time I make it.
RIP to a live well lived❤️

Melinda and I wish to extend our sympathy to the Streeto family at this time of loss. I practiced medicine with Jim for over thirty years. He was a skilled and thoughtful physician who always put his patients first. It was a privilege to work with Jim and Dottie in the practice. They will be in our thoughts and prayers.
