Marcello Signorello, 84, of Hartford, loving husband of the late Vincenza (Italia) Signorello, peacefully entered into eternal life on Thursday (August 1, 2019) surrounded by his devoted family. Born in Tripoli, Libya and raised in Sicily, he was a son of the late Sebastiano and Angela (Stella) Signorello. Marcello had resided in Hartford for the past 56 years and retired after a lifelong profession in Masonry. In his free time, he loved spending time in his garden, dancing to his favorite music and never missed a soccer game. His ultimate passion was having his whole family together and spoiling his beloved grandchildren.
Marcello is survived by two special sons, Aldo Signorello and his wife, Cathy, of Meriden, Dino S. Signorello and his wife, Maria, of Newington; his dedicated daughter, Angela Signorello of Hartford with whom he made his home; five adored grandchildren, Daniela, Marcello, Stefani, Marcello, and Johnpaolo. He also leaves his brother Antonio Signorello, sisters Marilena Romano and Giovanna Tata all of Sicily along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Marcello was predeceased by his brothers Salvatore Signorello, Carmelo Signorello and Orlando Signorello.
Funeral service will begin Tuesday, August 6th at 9 a.m. at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Augustine Church, 10 Campfield Avenue, Hartford. Entombment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Monday, August 5th from 5 - 8 p.m. In memory of Marcello, memorial donations may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 127 Washington Ave # 9, North Haven, CT 06473.
