Mary Pinto Blakeslee

Mary A. (Pinto) Blakeslee, 88, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Robert L. Blakeslee, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday (January 8, 2015) at St. Frances Hospital, Hartford. Born in Hartford on April 16, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Nardi) Pinto. A loving mother and grandmother, Mary will be dearly missed by her two devoted daughters, Bobbi Zebedeo and her husband Mike of South Windsor and Margaret R. Leone and her husband Philip of Cheshire and her two adored granddaughters and their husbands, Rachael and Richard Leupold and Erika and Matthew Beal. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Margaret Pallone of Wethersfield and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Marianne Blakeslee; two brothers, Nicholas and Michael Pinto, her brother-in-law, Albert Pallone and her sister-in-law, Patricia Pinto. The family would like to give special thanks to Mary Harris, and Lori Jordan for the loving care they provided around the clock in Mary's home.

The funeral is Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. from the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday morning from 8:15-9:15 a.m. at the funeral home.
