Linda was born on February 2, 1944, in Denver, Colorado, to Jay and Hazel Wilson. She graduated from North High School in Denver, Colorado, in 1962. Linda went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado where she received a Bachelor’s and Masters degree in elementary and special education, graduating in 1967. Linda served as a teacher in the Denver Public School system for nearly 25 years. Daughter Laura was born in 1968 and fondly remembers her mother as a gifted teacher, and a loving and supportive mother who encouraged her to pursue her dreams. Linda met Ralph in 1970 and they married in 1981, spending the rest of their lives lovingly devoted to each other.
Linda was an avid gardener who carried on her family’s legacy of farming, and finding both God and her roots in the beautiful gardens she tended. She was also an accomplished seamstress and cook, who loved celebrations and always had a way of making even the simplest of occasions into extraordinary events. She was a loving and doting grandmother who cherished special time with her grandchildren and who took great pride in the accomplishments of her family. Dear Linda was a member of our Balance & Movement class at The Senior Resource Center near her home. Today we remember her as a generous, brave woman who treated us to cookies and joined in every project we conjured up. I treasure our bantering as she sought to sometimes keep up with using the exercise aids. I hope some of her former students will learn of her passing so that they can recall ‘stories’ from years ago.

Linda was my favorite companion on the Thursday Rambler walks sponsored by the Wheat Ridge Active Adult Center , and I loved to chat with her as we always sat together on the van, and later as we walked together, since we were usually the "slowpokes" bringing up the rear of the group. I missed her so very much when she stopped coming, and worried about what the problem might be, and kept hoping that maybe she would be coming "next week." I wish I had known her sooner; she was such a lovely caring person. But now she has left her handicaps behind and is enjoying the most wonderful place of all - heaven. Thank you, God, for allowing me her great companionship.
