It is with the deepest regret that I was out of town when I learned of Carl's passing. He was one of my best friends growing up. I always called him Chubby. I spent many of my nights at their house in Back Brusly only to be waken up at 4:00A.M. for a breakfast of rice and a pork chop. Chubby and I would load up the water wagon and go to the cane fields to bring a drink of water to the workers cutting sugar cane in the fields. We took turns driving the mule through the fields. Those were some of the best memories of my growing up days. In my heart of hearts I know that he's in a more peaceful place. R.I.P. My friend. c.g. mouch
