Charlotte was born in Cranbury, NJ and was a graduate of Hightstown High School. After high school she received her nursing degree from St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton, and served as an RN at Princeton Hospital during the war years. While at Princeton her most famous patient was a gentleman named Einstein.
In 1946 after the war, Charlotte married her childhood sweetheart George, a marriage that continued until his passing in 2004. Once married, Charlotte lived on various military bases during George’s service in the US Navy until settling in Toms River in 1953.
Throughout her life, Charlotte was involved in many spiritual and charity activities. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Toms River for 67 years. From the mid 1950’s into the late 1970’s she was a third grade Sunday School teacher helping hundreds of youngsters learn the beauty of the Bible and grow in their faith. Also during this time she taught Vacation Bible School from her home in the Oak Ridge neighborhood of Toms River for children lacking the transportation to attend these summer activities at their local churches. In her latter years she chaired various committees supporting missionaries and was an active supporter of Ambassador Christian Academy and the mission work of America’s Keswick.
For all who knew her she will be remembered by the joy and brightness of her smile and a legacy of Love for her family, her friends, her Sunday School students and the children of Oak Ridge who she held in her heart and meant so much to her.
Pre-deceased by her parents Franklin and Edna Walker Brasch of Cranbury and her husband George Glover Earle of Toms River, she is survived by her three sons, the Rev. Dr. George Earle Jr. (Cindy) of Clear Spring, MD, Forrest Earle (Jean) of Stockton, NJ and Douglas Earle (Ann) of Toms River, NJ, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
