Larry Eugene Watts was born December 11, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA to Joseph and Olivia Watts. Larry married Deborah Fierro on July 28, 1978. He graduated from Freemont High School in 1965. Larry served in the Army before joining the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department, which he retired from on April 19, 2000. Upon retirement he spent his time helping Deborah at their flower shop, Blossoms. Larry loved to share stories with the flower shop clients making many friendships along the way. He recently rededicated his life to Christ. He had a lifetime love of food and learned to cook at an early age to avoid eating cold cereal for breakfast as a child. Larry, 71 of Mission Viejo, California was called home to the Lord on Monday, May 20, 2019 at his mother’s home in Inglewood, California. Larry leaves to cherish his memories his beloved wife Deborah, his mother Olivia Watts of Inglewood California, one brother Wilbert Watts of Inglewood California, one sister Delores Penton of Los Angeles California and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph and brother Rufus. He will be remembered as a boisterous soul who loved a good story and making people laugh.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 1 pm at Rose Hills Memorial Park, SkyRose Chapel. 3888 Workman Mill Rd, Whittier, CA 90601
Burial will follow.
Deborah will greet family and friends following graveside from 3-4:30 pm at Rose Hills GardenView Reception center.
