Brent enjoyed whittling, painting and drawing. He loved watching Science Fiction movies and reading books. Recently he enjoyed watching old tv westerns. He worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Cessna Aircraft Company for 15 years. He graduated from South High School in 1981 then attended Wichita State University and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in 1991.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Arbery Ray Barrett and Ramona Lee (Holder) Barrett; his brother, Kevin Barrett; his grandparents, MJ Holder and Mattie Francis Holder and John May Barrett and Ora (Ogle) Barrett.
Brent is survived by his brother, Ferlin Kelly Barrett and his uncle, Michael J. Holder.
A memorial service for Brent will be held Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 West Highway 54, Wichita, KS 67209. Following the memorial service will be a graveside service at 2:00 PM at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in the Garden of Freedom.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial in Brent's honor has been established with the Sedgwick County Zoo, 5555 W. Zoo Blvd, Wichita, KS 67212 or SCZ.org.
