John was my boss at the Parks & Recreation department back in the 60s. He was a very caring person, and truly concerned with the welfare of those he came in contact with. I have often fondly thought of him over the years. My sympathy to his family.

John reached out to our youth with his kindness and time. He made a speical connection with one of our young men when he encouraged that youth with a gift of his own guitar. We at the Wichita Children's Home will always remember him with much affection.
