Regina Lynn (Close) Hatcher of Eureka, Kansas, went to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday October 29, 2020
Regina was born August 29, 1955 to Dick and Thelma (Reynolds) Close. She grew up in Wichita Kansas, later moving to Eureka with her family in 1969 where she attended the Eureka Public Schools graduating with the class of 1973. After graduation, she was united in Marriage to Elmer Hatcher July 27 1973. While they lived in Valley Center, Regina worked as a CNA at Larksfield Place Health Center in Wichita Ks. When they moved to Eureka Kansas she worked as a CNA at Medicalodges of Eureka and later took the class to become a Social Services Designee and worked in that capacity until disability enabled her to no longer fulfill her duties.
Regina was an excellent homemaker and avid in scrapbooking making an album for each of her children, a sibling book , and a parent book. These albums were beautiful because she poured her special love into each one. Regina played the piano and enjoyed singing with her husband and sisters. She also enjoyed her daily bible devotions.
Regina loved her children and her grandchildren with her whole heart always encouraging them in whatever they were doing. Nothing meant more to her than her family and she loved them fiercely.
She is survived by her husband Elmer H. Hatcher of the home. Other survivors include 4 sons, Alan and (Holly) Hatcher of Tracy City, Tennessee, Jason Hatcher, Joel Hatcher and Casey Hatcher all of Wichita 2 grandchildren Colton Hatcher of Henryetta Oklahoma and Myleigh Hatcher of Wichita. 2 brothers Dale (Jan) Close of Mount Hope, David (Adrienne) Close of Newton, 3 sisters Lois (Greg) Stewart of Eureka, Pamela (Mark) Dawson of Wichita, Michele (James) Hare of Ozark Missouri and 9 nieces and nephews. Regina is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents and an infant baby.
Funeral services will be held Monday November 2nd at 10 AM. Bethel Baptist Church 3600 W end St N Wichita Kansas 67203 with pastor Jon Swope officiating. Graveside services will be held at Greenwood County Cemetery in Eureka Kansas 3 PM
A viewing will be held before the services at Bethel Baptist Church 9 AM Monday Nov. 2nd
Advantage Funeral Home in Wichita Kansas is in charge of the arrangements.
A memorial service honoring Regina Hatcher will be held at the Bible Baptist Church in Eureka Kansas Tuesday November 3 2020 at 10 AM.
