Warren D. Spalding

Warren Dell Spalding, 86, passed away September 16, 2018. Warren served in the Army during the Korean War era, earned his Master's in Economics and Juris Doctorate, and taught math and science courses for various high schools and colleges. He coached baseball, football, basketball and track. He also played collegiate baseball at the University of Texas at Austin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester Spalding and Ann Cox, and brother, James Spalding. Warren is survived by his children, Steve (Laurie) Spalding, Dedria (Curtis) Crain and Diane (Rodney) Welch; former wife, Karren Edwards; mother-in-law, LaVerne Priest; brothers, Jerry (Sue) Cox and David Cox; grandchildren, Brett (Annika), Craig and Scott Spalding; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Spalding. Celebration of Life service will be held at Resthaven Mortuary on Wednesday, September 19, at 3:00 PM. Memorials may be made to NPR (www.npr.org).
