Born on October 29th, 1944 in Evanston Illinois, Peggy was the daughter of the late Gertrude and Joseph Conrad. After graduating Evanston High School in 1962, Peggy went on to attend Pensacola Junior College in Florida. She later met and married the late John Delano, raised her two daughters in Lindenhurst Illinois, and enjoyed working at United Conveyor Corporation for many years. Her favorite activities included bowling, travel, movies, attending church services, sharing deserts, and spending time with family and friends.
Peggy was a kind and loving person with a heart of gold. Her sense of humor and smile was contagious and loved by all. She had unimaginable strength, courage, and determination, serving as a wonderful role model for her daughters and granddaughters.
Preceded in death by her Daughter Cindy (Anthony) Malatia; Brother Warren (Beverly) Conrad, Niece Lynn (Fred) Bartholomew, and Nephew Scott Conrad.
Survived by her Daughter Laura (Tom) Groth; Granddaughters Lena Groth, Audrey Groth, Jessica Malatia, and Jennifer Malatia; countless friends she’s made along her journey of life.
