Wilson: Wade Pittman, age 75, left his earthly home for his heavenly reward Monday, December 5, 2022 at Accordious Health at Wilson. Wade was the son of the late James Wade Pittman, Sr and Josephine Lanier Pittman.
Wade was an Air Force Veteran. He retired from Firestone after 31 years. For many years, he served as a Deacon and Choir member at Peace Church. Currently, he was an active member at Beyond the Cross Ministries. He had a passion for singing as a soloist as well as in quartets. More than anything, he was a devoted and beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Sheila Bradley Pittman of 52 years; his daughter Amy Letchworth and husband Patrick, grandsons Dante Pittman and Bryton Pittman of Wilson; his son Rusty Pittman and wife Renee, grandchildren Katie Gates, Jacob Page and Ellie Page of Wilson; his brother Ronald Pittman and wife Sabra of Princeton; his sisters Nancy Josephs and husband Ernie of Wilson and Deborah Barham and husband Randy of Raleigh, his sister-in-law Lynn Bradley of Wilson and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 2 PM in the chapel of Thomas – Yelverton Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Massey officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 PM to 2 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his wife for funeral expenses.
