Ouida Dial

Ms. Ouida Dial age 93 of Bogart, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021. She was a member of Jacks Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Ouida loved her family and cooking for them. She also loved gardening and working in her yards, which she did up into her ninety’s. Ouida was preceded in death by her parents, John I. and Naomi Hodges Miller; her loving husband of 60 years, Dean Lynn; her 2nd husband, Donald Dial; two brothers: Harry and Preston Miller; three sisters: Ruby Woods, Loraine Donaldson, and Rose Woods; and a grandson, Brandon Lavender. She is survived by two sons: Derrel Lynn of Comer and Johnny Lynn (Sherie) of Jefferson; two daughters: Cheryl Fields (Michael) of Bogart and Theresa Lavender (Buck) of Lincolnton; a sister: Linda Muehlbravier of Savannah; five grandchildren, Deanna Long, Holly Fields, Michael Hulsey, Angela Hulsey and Kristy Hayes and five great-grandchildren, Anniston Long, Owen Long, Martin Hulsey, Ryan Hayes and Blake Hayes. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff she loved so much at St. Gabriel’s Assisted Living for taking such great care of her. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Barrow Memorial Gardens, Winder, GA. The family will receive friends from noon until service time at Smith Funeral Home, Winder, GA. Donations may be made to Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church in memory of Ms. Ouida Dial.

We will be praying for you all during this time of loss of a precious loved one. It was always fun to visit with Aunt Ouida and Uncle Dean. I remember a visit to our house in Savannah shortly after they were married. It took me a little while to learn to pronounce her name, She was a fun person to be around.
