

DORIS AILEEN GORDON (Puddy), Windsor, formerly of Toronto, in her 92nd year, on September11th. Beloved wife for almost sixty years of Morey Jacob Gordon (2010). Survived by daughter Sheila Gordon (John Clark), grandsons Christopher Clark (Danica) and Daniel Clark, all of Windsor, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father George Puddy, mother Annie (Acheson), brother Edward Puddy and sister-in-law, Irene (Beckett), brother-in-law Chester Gordon (Faye) and sister-in-law Orma Proctor (Andy). The family would like to express their gratitude to the caring staff on the Magnolia Floor at Huron Lodge. Aileen worked in administration at the City of Toronto, the Hydroelectric Power Commission of Ontario (Ontario Hydro), the Ontario Telephone Service and for 28 years in management with OHIP before her retirement in 1984. In her youth, Aileen was an exceptional athlete with a special passion for basketball. As an adult, she was an active volunteer at her local parish, St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, Toronto, and was a founding member and President of the OMSID Employees (Toronto) Credit Union. Aileen and Morey looked forward each year to golfing daily on their winter sojourns in Florida and summer trips to the Briars on Lake Simcoe. They were avid Blue Jay fans, even after their relocation to Windsor in 2003. Aileen and Morey spent many a weekend cheering for their grandsons on baseball diamonds and basketball courts across Ontario. A visitation will take place in the Auditorium/Chapel at Huron Lodge, 1881 Cabana Road West, Windsor, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday September 18th, followed by a memorial service in celebration of Aileen’s life at 11:30, Reverend Bev Diet officiating.
