Harold Joseph Gelinas

Harold Joseph Gelinas 1921-2020 98 years. Passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare Emara Centre on Thursday, October 15, 2020. Son of the late William & Irene Gelinas. Loving husband of Thelma and the late Kathryn (1980). Father of Barbara Miller, the late Karen Petryshyn (1980), the late Ken Gelinas (2011) and the late Bryan Gelinas (1959). Father-in-law of Bill Petryshyn and Bernadette Gelinas. Grandpa to Bryan, Brent (2019), Christopher, Robbie, Robyn, Susan and great-grandfather of 5. Harold was a retired employee of Chrysler Canada, served with the Essex Kent Scottish and transferred to the Royal Regiment Canada during WWII. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Visitation will be held at the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre, 1969 Wyandotte Street East on Sunday, October 18, 2020 from 2 p.m. until the Windsor Veterans Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, LaSalle on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Please contact the Walter D. Kelly Life Celebration Centre at (519) 252-5711 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to RSVP for the visitation, funeral service and/or committal service as attendance may be restricted to any part of the service, including the interment.

***Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic and by direction from the Windsor Essex County Health Unit as well as the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, face masks and/or face coverings are mandatory to enter the funeral home and must be worn at all times while within the funeral establishment.***
