It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the passing of Gordon George Quistberg at Ste. Anne Hospital at the age of 91.
For those of you that had the pleasure of knowing Gord, his colourful personality will be genuinely missed.
After serving in the Navy during the Second World War he worked hard as a CNR blacksmith for over 40 years. He cherished and missed Louise, his late wife of 59 years, every day.
They spent many happy times at their cottage on Muriel Lake. Gord enjoyed a good laugh every day, especially when playing a game of crib, and had a soft heart for all animals, especially puppies.
It was Gord’s wish to remain in his home as long as he could and this was made possible with the excellent care from his doctors at the Ste. Anne Clinic and Hospital, Veterans Affairs, Homecare staff and special friends in the Paradise Village community
In keeping with Gord’s wishes a private graveside ceremony will be held where he will be laid to rest with his wife Louise at Green Acres Cemetery.
