Henry will be deeply missed by his loving wife Mei, and daughter Sanya. He will be missed greatly by his brother Gerhard (Janny), and nieces, Kelly (Blaine), Sherri, and Sara (Charles); great-nieces, Matea, Reagan, and Juniper also held a special place in Uncle Henry's heart - who mustered the strength to joke and tease them shortly before passing. Henry will also be forever remembered by his longtime work colleague and uncle-in-law, Dr. Zhou (Yulin), and extended family and friends
.
Henry was born on January 19, 1950 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan after his mother immigrated from Germany, with the family eventually settling in Winnipeg. While Henry was a deep intellect, having received a degree in Electrical Engineering, and then a PhD in magnetic physics, he was also interested in sports, politics, "the Simpsons" and "Seinfeld". Our family will miss his worldliness and intelligence along with his quiet chuckle at the silliest and driest of jokes. Henry absolutely cherished and adored his daughter, Sanya, showering her with love, kindness, and compassion.
A graveside gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, 2:00 p.m., at Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Highway No. 1 East at Navin Road, with a reception to follow.
We will love and miss you forever
