

Peacefully, on February 25, 2015 at the Grace Hospital, surrounded by his family and comforted by their love, Bob entered into eternal rest. Left to cherish his memory are his son Bob Jr. (Shelley) of Grande Prairie Alberta, daughter Joy Brissette and two grandchildren Beau and Bonnie Brissette, who held a special place in his heart. He will also be remembered by brothers Jim and Dave, two sisters-in-law, Connie Magee of Vancouver, Kathryn Dickson and their families. He was predeceased by his wife Marion, his sister Ruth Newton and brothers Bill, Leslie, Doug and Brian. Bob was a war veteran and proud of his service overseas in the army. He married Marion in 1946 and they enjoyed 46 years together. He worked for the Liquor Control Commission for many years, retiring in 1981. His hobbies were fishing, golfing and he was a long time member of the St. Vital Curling club. He also enjoyed many years at the cabin at Hillside Beach. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. We will treasure our memories of him forever. Bob spent the last five years of his life at Deer Lodge Centre. The family would like to thank the staff of Towers 3 and 4 for the wonderful care he received. Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Bob's wishes, no service will be held. Private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deer Lodge Centre, 2109 Portage Avenue. Winnipeg, or the Salvation Army.
