Dott Shaver Tilley

She was born on July 1, 1926 to Harvey Layton and Arlene Cox Shaver in Winston Salem. Dott was a loyal member of Century Park Baptist Church.

Dott is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Tilley; her parents; and her brothers, Harvey Layton Shaver, Jr. and Ray Allen Shaver. She leaves behind her nieces and nephews, Ronald (Marie) Shaver, Jerry Shaver, Polly Shaver, and Joan (Preston) Dyer; great nieces and nephews, Paula Shaver, Michael Shaver, Andy Dyer, Julian Shaver, and Jeremiah Shaver; close friends Butch and Chris Decker and their family; and many other loved ones and friends.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Walnut Ridge Assisted Living and Hospice and Palliative care for the compassion and tenderness.

The funeral service will be Thursday, August 9th at 2pm at Century Park Baptist Church, 1051 Salisbury Street in Kernersville, with Pastor Glenn Murphy officiating. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Dott’s honor to Century Park Baptist Church or Hospice and Palliative Care.
