We knew Randy years ago in Kingsport, Tn., he was our Pastor for a lot of years, He and his family were much loved and respected, we really missed them when they moved. Mr. Kobernat came to our home one summer day, I had 2 nephews and their fiances who wanted to get married at their grandparents’ home where I lived, he was gracious to come and perform the double wedding for us! Many wonderful memories with the Kobernat family! He will be sadly missed.

When Randall Kobernat & family came to the Kingsport, TN Worldwide Church of God congregation I was a teen in the YOU program. He brought a new way of looking at things, he encouraged the entire congregation to try new things. One of the things I remember most was that he always asked “Why”. He took our YOU group to New York City and Niagra Falls, he opened our eyes to experiences that some of us would have never had otherwise. He took our group to an off Broadway show, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building; we experienced all the sights and sounds of New York. He even took us on the subway. I’m truly thankful for the experiences and the opportunities that he brought to our youth group. Later on, he also counseled me for baptism. So many wonderful memories that bring a smile to my face. Rest In Peace, you fought the fight and finished the race.
