John Charles Coleman

John Charles Coleman, age 63, entered the loving arms of our Lord on Tuesday, July 24th 2018. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 1st 1955. Raised by his loving mother, Mary Overdorff and her husband Harold (cross symbol for deceased) in Cape Coral, Florida, John and his brother Joe(cross symbol for deceased) learned to love the beauty of the ocean. His love for the ocean lead him to become a certified scuba diver. Some of his fondest memories were made while living in Cape Coral. John was a faithful believer in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a member of Trinity Downtown Church, where he also served as an usher. John was preceded in death by his father, Roy Coleman, and brother, Joe Coleman. John is survived by his mother Mary, many aunts and uncles, and niece Melissa. John was a son who always found comfort in being near his mother. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 31st, 2018 at 10:30am in the chapel of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Oviedo, FL. Family and friends are invited to stay after the service for a reception. Memorial gifts may be made in John’s name to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church and Trinity Downtown.
