Richard was an amazing friend, mentor and man. I have never met such a generous , thoughtful and caring human being. 
I have many memories of Richard helping people both in a group
and individually. He did it for them, not for praise. 
I was fortunate to have him take me under his wing and mentor me.  He was one of the few successful people I knew who would wake each morning and think " Who can I help today?" 
It is impossible for me to share how much this man impacted my life and I will always remember him as one of the great ones.
Thank you Richard for all you did for me and  thank you for always being there as a true friend. Really hard to not add this  as it left his lips more than anything else. " Get your 3 and help them get their 3" (Inside Joke)
So Richard you got your 3, The Father the Son and the Holy Ghost.  Enjoy Heaven my Friend.

I just wanted to say that I am so sad to hear of Richards passing. He was so good to my parents when they were alive.  I so wanted to thank him before he passed. He was a great neighbor to my parents.  He and my dad had plenty of military stories to share. He will be missed.

To the family at-large (Bro Gordon, Ms Irene, PPL/LS team);  we extend our hearts & hands in deep sympathy in the loss of this great man!

Our friend, mentor, and esteemed colleague was both a Silent Warrior (with fierce extensive dedicated service to his country) and a Gentle Giant (though a well respected & sought after entrepreneur, he pride himself on helping ANYONE who was willing to follow his simple model...3 / 5)!

Robert Richard DeVasto was loved and admired from coast-to-coast, now he is called home by the one who loved him most!  You were an angel and Godsend on earth, now we ask God to send us HIS Angel to watch over us on earth.

I was sad to hear of Richard's passing. 

We met through LegalShield, he was my mentor. Richard taught me to stand up and to never give up.  He believed in me, often more than I could believe in myself.  For that I am eternally grateful.

Richard was a good, kind man. The very best.  My condolences to his family.

I first met Richard in the Spring of 1984 at a meet and greet reception held by John Hail, the Founder of TVC Marketing and my new employer. Richard was one of the first people I met and to this day, I remember his warm and friendly welcome. Richard had a way of making you feel like you were the only person in the room.  It was the beginning of a long friendship that lasted through the Pre-Paid Legal days and with Legal Shield. Richard was one of the most positive and caring people I have ever met. When we talked, he always wanted to know how I was and what was going on in my life. He was a strong support during the loss of my beloved husband, Wilburn. Richard was a true, loyal, compassionate and kind friend. I will miss him greatly. 

Richard is one of the greatest human beings I have had the privilege and honor to work with.  He was an incredible mentor and friend.   My family loved him and adored him.  Richard was there for us anytime we needed advice or support.  His words of wisdom and support were priceless in life and business.   I personally lost a great friend on earth but Heaven gained a Legend.

From the day I met Richard he was generous in sharing his approach to Legal Shield. He was a fantastic mentor and a friend. 
It has been a privilege to have shared the time we had together.

I've been involved with the Winter Park High School Foundation for the last several years and came to know Mr. Devasto through the foundation. Most likely do not know that Mr. Devasto has been quietly providing college scholarships to graduating seniors from WPHS. He has been extremely generous and really had a heart for helping students with need. Additionally, Mr. Devasto's support has funded the Richard Devasto Scholarship Endowment Fund which will provide scholarships to WPHS graduating seniors in perpetuity, continuing his great legacy. We are so grateful for what Mr. Devasto has done for our students and our community and he will be greatly missed. We extend out heartfelt condolences to his family and friends!

Richard was an incredible teacher. Always willing to help and always encouraging. We always looked forward to our annual gatherings, but even in-between those events just hearing his voice when I called set everything straight, even before we spoke about the situation.

A very humble and honorable man, who will be missed greatly, not just for the things he did, but even moreso, for who he was. 
REST IN ETERNAL PEACE

Richard was not only a true legend in the business, he was my most honored mentor and a very dear friend. 
I will never forget the many stories, the invaluable help and the unbelievably powerful support he provided me over the years. Every day I use the skills and the words that Richard gave me. He was able to effectively encapsulate our entire business into a single sentence.  He was all this and more to me. 
He was there for me in the times I wasn’t even there for myself and he has forever changed me and my world for the better.
