February 25, 2021

I learned today, from Carol Regan, sister-in-law of her son, Roger Wise, Marblehead, MA. Through Roger & his wife, Pam, my husband, Ross & I enjoyed many fun times with Savel and Alan. Most memorable was our first trips to the Indianapolis 500 Race. Savel made finger sandwiches in her hotel room for all of us! I was so impressed with the simplicity of the gesture and very grateful for the sandwiches. Another Indy 500, it was just Alan, Savel, Ross and myself. They invited us to their hotel room for a cocktail, cheese and crackers before dinner. Savel was once again the thoughtful hostess.
Such a fine lady with a bit of adventure. She shared many wonderful stories of her young family, traveling around Europe . How they packed a cooler, made sandwiches, and ate them in the car. It so reminded me of my Mom and my family and how we travelled here in the US. On February 9th, 2021, Ross & I had to drive to St. Augustine for our Covid19 Vaccines. As we travelled through Orlando, we waved to Savel and said a little prayer for her. Little did we know, we got to send her our farewell wave. Savel is at peace and has finally Gone West to join her love, Alan. Our most sincere sympathies to you all, in the lost of your gracious mother, Savel, who made it over 100!!The memory of her will always be a blessing. Sincerely, Ross & Judy Landers - Bradenton, FL
