

The funeral service will be held in St. James United Church, Wolseley on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Mary Young officiating.
Cremation will take place with interment in Ellisboro Cemetery.
He was born March 27, 1934 to the late James and Gustavina Edgar in Regina, Saskatchewan. Donald married Ruth McCormick on August 30, 1958.
Donald was predeceased by sister Margaret, brother Christian, sister Deanna, brother-in-law Robert Roche, brother in-law Clare Pomeroy, half brother Maxwell (Katie) Edgar; two half sisters, Davina and Diana Edgar and grandson Dean Edgar.
He is survived by his wife Ruth; sons Dave (Laurie), Rod (Renette) and Brad; grandchildren Chelsie (Chris) Nomeland and great-grandson Nicholas, Brandon Edgar (Riley), Danean Edgar, Derek Edgar, Kaitlyn Beck (Tyler), Jordan Beck (Karissa), and Kyle Beck; his sisters Dorothy Pomeroy and Mona (Jim) Jamieson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was the tenth child in a family of twelve; he grew up in Regina. After a short stint in the army, he then worked as a brakeman on the railway, delivered for Westins Bakery and delivered for Coca Cola. In 1962 they moved to Ruth's family farm in the Ellisboro district until they moved to Wolseley in 1996. He actively farmed and custom hauled grain until 1999, and helped on the farm as long as he was able. Don was an avid curler and was well known in the local rinks. He enjoyed a good game of curling as well as the camaraderie after the game. Don also enjoyed the social part of auction sales, coffee shops, custom trucking, and visiting family, friends and neighbours.
