Bob and Mark became fast friends back at AT&T, and in no time Bob was my good friend too. Bob spent numerous summer days, holidays and nights staying over with us at our cottage on Elkhart.  Bob helped Mark on dozens of home projects or rescued us from several urgent calamities. Bob was one of a kind, and beyond his years.  A gifted remarkable guy; confident and comfortable with anyone, any situation, or any challenge. Adept at fixing anything (bailed us out numerous times!), generous, chartible, very fun-loving, up for any adventure. He had strong convictions while appreciating quality & living life to the fullest. Most of all he loved his dear family, close friends, and his true soul-mate & fiancé, Jamison.  Our hearts remain broken, yet thankful and full for knowing him.  Bob will be terribly missed, but never forgotten...he was a treasured friend that became cherished family.

I met Bob 2 years ago at work. It was a project I was working on for my boss. I never worked with him prior. At this point, I had interviewed and surveyed about 30 or so people for the project. The project I was researching was terrible/broken. He was the only person that said it. LOL.  I wrote this down on my book about him and shared it with my boss. Bob Galaska- genuine, sharp and overall good guy. If given the opportunity, we need to hire this guy. He was the only person I wrote about and shared with my boss.

I could tell you about the year Ricco (almost) ruined Christmas but saved the day by finding a bar that he convinced to sell us ten gallons of cherries for Old Fashioneds...instead I’m enclosing a treasured keepsake.  March 2012 we were sitting around in our makeshift family and discussing our greatest achievements.  Bob?  Who dedicated his life to others, played piano for the nuns, listened - really listened, and meant so much to so many....Bob said his only skill was that he could remove a Busch Lite label from a bottle without tearing it.  PROVE IT! We said.  And he did.   I’ll love and miss you forever little brother!!!!

My deepest condolences to the entire Galaska family.  I have had the honor and privilege to work with Bob for several years and he will be missed!  Bob was consistently called into difficult situations, and he always responded with an incredible amount of passion and commitment!  
He was an extraordinary person, and will be remembered! 

Bob was a special man who always made you feel important and welcomed.  I will miss his wit and passion for all the finer things in life. My deepest sympathy to his family and fiance Jamison. Words cannot convey my sadness.  He will be so sorely missed.

I am a cousin of Bob's dad, John. We just heard about his passing this evening. All of our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family!

Our dearest Bob (Rico).   You are and will forever be my little brother.  My heart is deeply saddened by the loss of your life.  I still cannot believe this has happened.  Paul and I are not sure what we will do without your genuine smile and amazing laugh.  You are by far one of the closest people in my life and I don't know what to do with myself right now.  The memories of us  are ongoing from snowmobiling, boating, cutting down trees, working together at AT&T, going to the symphony, spending old fashion Christmas  together, and bartending at our fiesta parties.  Let's not forget the dance moves you had.  The lawn mower, the sprinkler and my most favorite the shaky bootie.  Thank you for being there for me, my family and my mother who is so broken from your loss.  You will forever always have a piece of of my soul and you will forever be my peoples bro.  Sending endearing love to Margaret, Matt and the love of his life, Jamison.

Bob was a good friend to my sister and brother in law, Chris and Mark Strigenz. We had so much fun with hm at Elkhart Lake. Bob was so helpful to my family and he was so much fun. We cheered when he found Jamison, the love of his life. 
He touched so many people. He was a wonderful person and a great friend.

My deepest condolences to Jamison and the Galaska family. I worked with Bob for many years, hiring him into Service Management. Though I was his boss I felt we also became friends. The first year he did not use his vacation time, I told him he was going with me to help with Katrina relief work in November 2006. Poor guy was with 5 women who could have been his mom or grandmother. I’ll never forget his enthusiasm to help, and he said Gail we have to come back! So he organized the next trip in January, I was the ‘old lady’ on that trip. He taught me how to use a chain saw! But more importantly he showed how much he cared and always how much he loved life. He will be greatly missed by all those whose lives he touched.

Bob was truly one of a kind.  He seemed to march to the beat a different drum at times but in a good way.  Bob was super talented in many aspects of life and really intelligent.  I really think Bob's best attribute was how well he was a chameleon with all different groups of people and his ability to make people laugh.   Bob could jump into any conversation topic and add his own dry sense of humor with some type of witty joke.  Bob was always smiling and having fun.  Although Bob was a few years older than me, I enjoyed hanging out with his group of friends from the class of 97' every few years on local ice fishing outings.  The whole group just loved to have fun and Bob was generally the life of the party.  I never remember seeing Bob get mad or upset.  I will always cherish all those little fishing outings with Bob and the boys.  The last time I fished Bob had just bought a brand new truck, like a huge ginormous truck.  Somebody in the group asked Bob what  the heck are you going to haul with that rig? Bob said " well for now just lots  and lots of air, but maybe I'll buy a boat someday".....not too long after that, Bob didn't just buy a boat, the dude damn near bought a yacht....That's just the type of guy he was, he kinda had no plan at all, while at the same time had everything planned out perfectly. I am Bob’s Aunt, his dad’s sister. I haven’t seen Bob since my moms funeral. I followed him on Facebook and there isn’t one picture of him that he doesn’t have that great smile on. We were truly heartbroken when we heard this. Our deepest sympathy to Margaret, Matt and John

We live in a world connected like never before, thanks to an industry that brings people together with no boundaries, industry Bob was passionate about. I met Bob as he was my coach on a Customer Service Program to serve our customers.  He was very knowledgeable, caring and kind.  A memory I cherish dearly is I remember how I made Bob laugh when he found out my "canine daughter's" name was Google.  He thought it was a great conversation starter.  Another memory is how concerned he was with the wellbeing of his peers in Puerto Rico after we were hit by Hurricane Maria, making sure we were safe. May he rests in peace and may God comforts you in this time of need.  I'm so sorry for your loss.

Words can't express how big of a loss this is. Bob, your CHS '97 family cherishes our countless memories with you over so many years. You were truly one of a kind, and one of the BEST. Bob was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents, Harold and Deloris Berg; Paternal Grandparents, Henry and Marcella Galaska; and Maternal Uncle, Steve Berg.  Bob is survived by his Mother, Margaret Galaska; his Father, John Galaska; and his Brother, Matt Galaska, all of Fond du Lac, WI.  Bob was engaged to be married and is also survived by his Loving Fiancé, Jamison Young and their new puppy, Scout, of Hudson, WI. Many extended family members and dear friends mourn this sudden loss and will forever remember Bob as a genuine and sincere person, giving much of himself for others.
