My deepest condolences to Jim's Family and friends.

I had the privilege of working with Jim when he was the Commander of the 210TH. EIS. His leadership brought the 210th several Unit awards. He was a no nonsense, fair guy. Great to work for......

A story always worth repeating {we laughed many a time over it]
While in Torejon Spain, our driver and host, A Texas ANG CC while stopping for fuel proceeded to fill the gas tank with diesel fuel. We lasted about 2 blocks. There we were Jim & I pushing the car back to the station.

Family, celebrate his life as he touched many. I will not forget the Man

I worked for LTC Pursley back in 1983-84-85.

Almost 30 years later...his influence on me has never been forgotten.

Tough as nails when you had it coming? Yes

Caring supporting boss when you "done good?

Without compare

Carry on my friend.. I will never forget you Sir...and I salute you

Jim was always level headed never let any situation get to him . He mentored many of the 133rd officers that have served the Unit.

I enjoyed many good memories of my grade school and high school classmate as well as a neighbor on the East Side of St. Paul. Jim was always upbeat the few times I got to visit him in the early stages of his physical problems. I offer my prayers and sincere condolences to his family. (Peter Polski, Palm Harbor, Florida)

My thoughts & prayers go out to Scotty & his family on the passing of their Dad. I know Scotty loved him very much and he will leave a big void in their lives. Jim is resting peacefully in God's hands now. God Bless you all.

What a fine, gracious man, and Officer in the 133AW. He treated people with respect, and challenged them to fly high.
