Preceded in death by parents, William and Alma Soice. Survived by loving wife, Lois; children, Lynn (Don) Hultstrand, Lisa (Jay) Deverell; grandchildren, Ryan (Ann), Jack, Kelsey and Tommy; great grandchildren Jordan and Tori; niece Wendy.
Loren graduated from John Marshal, enlisted with the Army, and received a purple heart for his service during the Korean War. He worked at Honeywell for 50 years in the plating department and was active in the union fighting for workers’ rights.
Loren loved spending time with his grandchildren and was their biggest fan attending their many sporting events. Loren was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed working on the many cars he bought over the years, traveling and camping with his family, and working in his yard with his wife.
Loren was also an active volunteer with his church. Loren was a devoted husband. His 68 year marriage to Lois a true love story. He raised and challenged his daughters with love and support. He was a soft spoken, patient, kind, and intelligent man. We will miss you dearly, Boppa!
We are thankful for the care Loren received at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center over the years.
A visitation to celebrate Loren’s life will be held at The Wulff Woodbury Funeral Home, 2195 Woodlane Drive, on December 21st at 10:00 AM followed by a Memorial Service at 11:30 AM. A private, family interment will be held at Fort Snelling.
