Al was born to the late Stanley and Anna Vicznesky on February 21, 1940 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania. He was the youngest of five children.
He had a sense of humor that kept friends to family on their toes. He often presented a hard exterior by saying things like, “Bah Humbug” or sticking his tongue out about attending family events but deep down, he loved every moment.
After Al graduated from high school, he enlisted into the Navy and relocated to North Carolina. There, he met the love of his life, Beverly Radloff, who was also serving her country in the Navy. On October 6, 1962, the couple was married and they were later blessed with three beautiful sons: Scott, Dean and Jim.
After 3 years, Allen left the Navy to work at a steel mill. He returned later on to serve an additional 20 years in the Navy. Giving him a total of 23 years serving his country. After his military retirement, he worked for a heating and air company and later became the owner and operator of a vending machine business called “Snacks R Us.” He was a member of Woodstock Christian Church where he served and attended for 20+ years.
Al enjoyed camping and other outdoor activities with his family. He thoroughly enjoyed crafting. Al loved making all sorts of things with his hands. He also enjoyed teaching both his children and grandchildren to do the same. Al loved to play his guitar and sing to his wife and family. He loved music.
Al and Beverly were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Allen Vicznesky is preceded in death by his father, Stanley Vicznesky; mother, Anna Caroline Teddys Vicznesky; brother, Stanley “Stosh” Vicznesky; and sisters, Mary, Josephine and Sophie “Chubby” Vicznesky.
