Dotty was born to the late David and Georgia May Robinson in Wilmington, Delaware. She was a spirited individual who lived life to the fullest. Her life was filled with many joys over the years including baking, dancing and reading.
Dotty always had a passion for good food and began working in the restaurant business as a waitress during the early 60’s. She soon became the owner of four successful restaurants over the years. In San Francisco, she was awarded with the Crab Imperial Award and was entertained by the late Mayor Joseph Lawrence Alioto. After retiring in 1981, Dotty continued sharing her love of cooking and baking with her family and shared her best recipes with her favorite people.
Dotty loved all kinds of dancing: square, ballroom and even belly dancing. She was also an avid reader and would devour books by the week. She was such a bright light in the lives of those around her and stood firm in her beliefs. She was a dedicated friend and cherished those life long friendships with many.
Her memory will be cherished by her son Wayne Meding (Anne Meding), granddaughter Desiree Harb (Dr. Zouhair Harb, M.D.), granddaughter Christine E. Werner (Nathan “Nate” Werner), great-grandchildren Hayden Werner, Madden Werner and Shaylynn DiSanto, brother Vernon Robinson (Judy Robinson), and many great-great-grandchildren.
In honoring Dotty’s wishes, there will be no services. For those who wish to make a donation in her memory, please do so to the church of your choice.
