James A. DeDreu, age 79, of Woodstock, Georgia, formerly of Roswell, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019. He was better known as Jim or J by his family and friends.
Jim was born to the late Adrian and Doris DeDreu on April 12, 1939 in Newark, New Jersey. He was one of four children and lived most of his life in the great state of New Jersey.
After meeting the love of his life, Roberta Hoffman, the couple were married and their family grew to include three children: Elizabeth, Cynthia and James Jr.
Jim was a good natured person that people enjoyed being around. He was sociable, outgoing and always the jokester. He was a hard worker and enjoyed traveling and being a part of his local bowling league.
The family will hold a private committal service so James and Roberta can lay together at rest at the Georgia National Cemetery.
A Celebration of Jim’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Woodstock Funeral Home 8855 Main Street Woodstock, Georgia 30188. His family will receive friends an hour prior to services. To keep in Jim’s love of laughter, please bring a joke to share.
