Mildred Ruth Kilmer

Mildred was born on June 30, 1931 to William and Opal Claunch, one of five children. She married Wilford Kilmer in September of 1969 and they spent most of their time together living in Cambria close to family. Mildred was a homemaker, caregiver, and doer of all things for her family. Her gardening and flowers were enjoyed by all who passed by their home. She was a member and active participant in her church family at Cambria First Baptist for most of her life. She was a constant source of love, support, care, and kindness, who was always ready to share her warm smile. She will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister (Dorotha), and two brothers (William Eugene and Edwin Donald).

Survivors include one sister, Marilyn Dorcella (Lindell) Shepard of Cambria; three daughters, Loretta (Carl Mikel) Kilman of Carbondale, IL; Kimbra (Wendell) McDannel of Orlando, FL; Andrea (Jeremy) Cottingham of Woodstock, GA; one son, Harold (Barbara) Meneese of Herrin, IL; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 21st at First Baptist Church of Cambria, IL, followed by a private burial at Blairsville Cemetery.
