Mr. Philip E. Leone, 85, passed away peacefully in his home in Alpharetta, Georgia on January 14, 2019. Philip was born on February 19, 1933 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Philip M and Sarah Leone. He attended Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, where he played football. Philip graduated from Duquesne University with honors. He served honorably in the United States Air Force. Philip enjoyed a career as an accountant in various forms. He was a CPA partner with Peat Marwick, a partner in charge for BDO, the CEO of Better Business Bureau Miami and an executer for the Leach Foundation. Philip was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and a 32nd degree Mason. He was a devoted husband and father and a doting grandfather. He also enjoyed golf and truly loved his work. Philip will be deeply missed by his family and those that knew him. Philip is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dorothy Leone; sons, Philip A Leone and his wife Lorna and Michael A Leone and his wife Merry; grandchildren, Kelli, Ryan, John Michael, Jeremy, Natalie, Kristian, Nicholas and Andrew; and great-grandchildren, Gabi, Bella and Luca. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph. A funeral mass will be on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas, 535 Rucker Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30004. Interment with military honors will follow at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton, Georgia.
