Daniel Jason Carmack

Dan spent his adult life farming in the lower Valley and driving truck for 33 years. The last company he worked for was Safeway.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jan at the home; two sons, Gary and Jim; two grandchildren, Shawn and Scott and two very special grandchildren, Michael and Rachel, whom he helped raise.

Dan enjoyed fishing and gardening, and did both very well. He was known as onion man.

A big thank you to Heart Links, also Fieldstone and all the wonderful staff there. A special thank you to Stan at Heart Links for all of his concern and passion and to Michelle at Fieldstone for the guidance and care.

Memorial donations may be made to Heart Links Hospice (3920 Outlook Road, Sunnyside, WA 98944).

At the family’s request, there will be no formal burial. A Remembrance Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Living Springs Church, 2521 Maple Way, Yakima (Gleed).
