Jackie was born December 11, 1944 in Waterloo, Iowa, the daughter of Forest and Geraldine (Welsh) Williams. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Idaho and graduated from Highland High School in Pocatello in 1963. On February 15, 1964, she was married to James Bond at the Pond café in the Nile. Jackie worked as an Avon Representative for a number of years. Together with her husband, James Bond they owned and operated James Bond Construction. Later, their adventurous spirit led them to purchase the Bumping Lake Marina, which they operated for about thirteen years. Being at the lake was some of her most peaceful and treasured times. She was later married to Derek Newton in Las Vegas, Nevada. They were snowbirds, splitting time between Arizona and the Nile Valley. They shared many adventurous journeys together.
Among some of her many hobbies and memorable events were vacationing and fishing in Nanaimo and Campbell River, BC, feeding the deer and Cooper the Hawk that also called her place home and going to yard sales. Jackie also enjoyed picking huckleberries and mushrooms, playing pinochle, playing the slot machines and four wheeling.
Pretty much everyone she met was a friend. You could always just stop by. Jackie was a long time member of the Nile Community Church and volunteered at Nile Community days for years.
She is survived by her husband, Derek Newton; two sons Larry (Vikki) Bond and Brad (Debbie) Bond; step children, David Newton and Darrell Newton; grandchildren, Ashley Bond and Emma Blair; three sister, Raedean (Dan) Millward, Donna Lowe and Brenda Shields and a brother, Gale Williams.
Her former husband, James Bond, her parents and a granddaughter, Robyn, preceded her in death.
