On March 30, 2018 Jann became another bright star in the sky after a short but hard battle with lung complications. Jann was born in 1949 in Joplin, MO and moved to Yakima at 5 months of age where she was raised and graduated from Davis High School.
Jann always said her greatest accomplishment in life was the birth of her daughter, Kari who went on to marry Jeff Freisz. Together they gave her the three greatest treasures she could ever ask for, Kristina, Christopher, and Carson. If you asked Jann what she loved most in life, hands down, it would be watching her grandchildren grow up. She was not only their grandma, but their biggest playmate.
Jann was a selfless person and very much enjoyed the simple things in life such as living on the farm, talking to her dogs, working in her rose garden, and crocheting baby blankets for others. She was very proud to be known as grandma to so many! While leaving us far too soon, she will forever live on in our saved special voicemails and texts that we will cherish. (The ones close to us know how great those are!)
Jann is survived by her man Mel White, daughter Kari and family, sister Betty Wilhelm and son Daniel Patterson and family, niece Megan Sarclette and family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bud Willard, her son John and brother Jesse Crume.
In lieu of a service, the immediate family is planning a reunion in Jann’s honor, something that is long overdue.
