Stefania Hac (nee Bozyk), 88, a longtime Yonkers resident, died on Friday February 1, 2019 at the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, N.J.

She was born on Novmber 1, 1930 to Theodore and Anna Bozyk in Werchrata, Poland where she was raised and educated. Mrs. Hac was an assembly worker in Polychrome Corporation in Yonkers for over thirty years until her retirement in 1995. She was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking and was an avid gardener. She married her loving husband, Joseph Hac in Werchrata, Poland. Mr. Hac died in 2002. She is survived by four sons, Roman Hac of Middletown, N.J., Zenon Hac and his wife Rosemary of Toms River, N.J., Jerry Hac and his wife Lucia of Stamford, CT and Walter Hac of Yonkers and one sister, Maria Bozyk of Poland. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Stephen, Nicholas and Diana Hac. Visiting hours will be at Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Panakhyda Service Monday 7:30pm. Funeral Service will be held in St. Michael’s Ukrainian Catholic Church on Tuesday February 5th at 10am. Interment will follow at Holy Spirit Cemetery, Campbell Hall, N.Y.
