

Lydia is predeceased by her parents John and Maria Rodrigues; siblings, Connie Johannsen, John (Mila) Rodrigues, Tilly (Bim) Alves and Tony Rodrigues, as well as her cherished son, Gary House. Lydia is survived by her loving husband James A. Derr; Brothers, Dan (Lynn) Rodrigues, Gilbert Rodrigues; children, Michael (Lois) House, Debbie House, Lewis (Celeste) Derr, Katy (Stuart) Blicharz-Gillespie, Marjorie (Jim) Musilli-Whitesell, Lori Harkin; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, her dear friend Lily Nardi as well as her Arizona family Kathy and Steve Rhone, Steve Harkin, Dorothy Brittan and Nancy McCalment.
Lydia was born February 3, 1927 in New Bedford, MA and was a member of St. Joachim and Anne Roman Catholic Church in Youngtown, Arizona.
Lydia moved to Peoria, Arizona in 1986 after retiring as Quality Control Manager for the California Peanut Company in Richmond, California. She worked in retirement for Hallmark. Lydia loved to square dance, read and travel with her beloved husband, Jim.
A Funeral Service will be held at 9:00am at Advantage Golden Door Chapel, 11211 West Michigan Avenue, Youngtown, Arizona 85363 followed by a graveside service at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 11:00am, 23029 Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024.
