I just learned of David's passing. My love and condolences to his family.  I knew David at YVC where I was a member of the Qualot Singers.  This time in our lives was so joyful, carefree and filled with beautiful music.  I will never forget our travels around the state to sing at various places.  An incredible memory was singing in the Rotunda of the State Capitol. And as young people will do, we created a bunch of shenanigans and had so much fun.  David was always so kind to me and we laughed a lot. He did have a nickname for me and I will share it with you.. Hope I can spell it. Kay Pie Poomund Burger.. I will never forget that. May God give you peace and comfort.

David, I am so glad we got to know each other and I am really going to miss you. 48 years is a long time to know someone and I wish we could have had 48 more. Rest in peace my friend.

I was so sad to read in the paper about David's passing. I have many fond memories of David and of our High School Class of 1968. Please know that I am thinking of you and of your family during this difficult time and my thoughts and prayers are with you all.  I had hoped to attend his service but was unable to do so.

Dave was our youth choir director when I was in high school at Calvary Baptist church not only was I a shy kid ( hard to believe it now) and I couldn’t sing.Dave said all I want from you is that you love the Lord and God will provide the rest. Those words encouraged me to keep on singing. Dave always had a great smile. I feel blessed that I got to introduce my husband and daughter to him two years ago

David will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His wisdom, compassion and humor made visits with him fun and enjoyable - Heavens gain, our loss. David, you are loved!

I always enjoyed visiting with Dave.  Every visit was filled with laughing, even if our topic was serious. I felt that Dave cared about  what I had to say and he always listened to me. I ache with sorrow for the unspeakable loss to Carol and his family and friends. RIP, Dave!

David was such a pleasure to be with.  We had many laughs at our ham radio gatherings, and on the air.  We will miss him and his humor.  Prayers for all the family from Lois and me.  May God bless all of you and wrap his arms around you through this time of sorrow.

David left us with so many memories especially related to the hobby of ham radio.  My sympathy to Carol and Aaron.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Don't know where to start. David and myself were close friends for almost 50 years through our marriages, kids, National Guard, with innumerable family gatherings get-togethers, sprinkled with dogs, sweet kitties, and lots of laughter! We worked at supporting each other through all our good times and our bad times, moving our residences and jobs. We'll miss him immensely. Words befall me at this moment. I love you David Russell I hope to see you in the hereafter.
