Mary Ann Baker

She was born January 12, 1943 in Houston, TX to Walter & Julia (Majefski) Smith. She attended Assumption Catholic School & graduated from Aldine High School.

She married Grover Lee Baker on January 21, 1961 and spent most of their lives in Houston before retiring to Shiner in 2001. The day of her passing marked their 60th wedding anniversary.

Mary was a homemaker and found great joy in spending time with family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Julia, her husband, Grover Lee and her sister, Carole (Smith) Marks.

Survivors: Daughters – Debbie (Sid) Caldwell, Cyndi (Charlie) Stein. Son – Brian (Trish) Baker.

Grandsons-Marcus (Maisie) Lopez, Philip (Kyndall) Lopez, Brice Baker and Justin Stein. Granddaughter-Calli Stein.

Great-Grandchildren – Austin Lopez, McKenzie Stutes & Dylann Stutes.

Nieces-Julie (Tom) Craddy and children, Sherry Ferguson and children

Pallbearers: Marcus Lopez, Philip Lopez, Brice Baker, Justin Stein, Tom Craddy & Samuel Murphy.

Graveside Services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Shiner, Texas and will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:30 am at Shiner City Cemetery in Shiner, Texas. A Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
